Shayne Dark’s sculptural installations draws upon and focuses on the physical and perceptual experiences one has of the environment, with the intention to stimulate spiritual or visceral reactions between the cultural and the natural worlds, industrial and organic materials, as well as the notions of permanence and movement, space and time.
Double Take is a cluster of deep blue poles that all have a slightly different angle and shape. “It is dynamic, leaving the viewer with the illusion of life underground struggling to break free from the confines below and projecting a force of energy, pushing toward the street with intensity and subtle strength,” says Shane.
